Congressman Russell Fry, who represents South Carolina’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing international diplomacy, domestic security, and economic development.
On August 11, 2025, Fry commented on ongoing diplomatic efforts regarding Russia: “No one has been able to bring Russia to the table—until now. With @POTUS leading the way there is real hope for peace. If anyone can end this war, it’s him.”
Later that day, Fry addressed concerns about public safety in Washington D.C., stating: “.@POTUS is taking action to restore law and order in our nation’s capital. The safety of the American people must come first.”
On August 12, 2025, Fry highlighted a significant investment by Arclin in Dillon County: “Arclin is expanding in Dillon County with a $60+ million investment—bringing more jobs and opportunity to our state. This is a big win for South Carolina workers and our economy!”
Fry has served as the representative for South Carolina’s 7th district since 2023 after succeeding Tom Rice. He previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Surfside Beach in 1985 and currently residing in Murrells Inlet, Fry holds degrees from the University of South Carolina and Charleston School of Law.
