Congressman Russell Fry, who represents South Carolina’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on his social media account between September 25 and September 26, 2025.
On September 25, Fry shared his visit with a local radio host: “Great to catch up with my longtime friend Jane Pigg on FM WCRE 93.9 in Chesterfield! Congratulations to Jane and the entire WCRE team on their continued success bringing news, sports, and entertainment to Chesterfield, Marlboro, and Darlington counties.”
The following day, Fry commented on national politics: “Democrats are showing us exactly where their priorities lie—illegals first, Americans last. Absolutely disgraceful.” This statement was posted on September 26.
Later that same day, he announced changes due to inclement weather: “For the safety of our community and staff, we are postponing Monday’s Mobile Office Hours as the storm approaches. Stay tuned for updates!”
Fry has represented South Carolina’s 7th district since replacing Tom Rice in 2023. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Surfside Beach in 1985 and currently residing in Murrells Inlet, Fry earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in 2007 and later received a law degree from Charleston School of Law in 2011.
