South Carolina Congressman Russell Fry, who has represented the state’s 7th district since 2023, posted a series of tweets on July 21 and 22, 2025, addressing national political issues and recent events.
On July 21, Fry commented on President Joe Biden’s performance in a previous debate, writing: “A year ago, Biden’s debate disaster exposed what they tried to hide for years. Democrats and their media allies lied about Biden’s health and smeared anyone who told the truth. But the American people remember.”
Later that day, he referenced economic recovery efforts with another post: “Six months into the Great American Comeback—and we’re just getting started. This is what America First looks like. “
On July 22, Fry addressed an incident involving a Customs and Border Protection agent: “A CBP agent was nearly killed in a sanctuary city by someone who never should’ve been here. This is what happens when you prioritize criminals over law enforcement. Biden’s open borders made it possible—and it was 100% preventable.”
Fry has served in Congress since replacing Tom Rice in 2023 and previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Surfside Beach in 1985, Fry currently resides in Murrells Inlet. He holds degrees from the University of South Carolina (BA) and Charleston School of Law (JD).
