Congressman Russell Fry, who represents South Carolina’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media highlighting immigration enforcement actions and border security measures.
On July 17, 2025, Fry wrote: “We just saw the lowest number of illegal border crossings in HISTORY. Thanks to President Trump and the One Big Beautiful Bill, Border Patrol finally has the tools to get the job done.”
Later that day, he acknowledged local law enforcement efforts: “Thank you to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office for working with ICE to remove a criminal illegal immigrant from our streets. This is how we keep South Carolina safe! “
On July 18, Fry posted another message expressing support for presidential promises: “Promises made, promises kept, Mr. @POTUS “
Fry has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Tom Rice. He previously represented his community in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Surfside Beach in 1985 and currently residing in Murrells Inlet, Fry holds degrees from both the University of South Carolina and Charleston School of Law.
