Congressman Russell Fry, who represents South Carolina’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several issues in a series of posts on September 8, 2025.
In one post published at 16:47 UTC, Fry commented on criminal justice policies, stating, “A young woman’s life was cut short because a repeat offender was allowed back on the streets. This is what happens when soft-on-crime policies put criminals first. Justice should protect victims—not predators.”
Later that evening at 20:28 UTC, Fry discussed religious values and national leadership: “No more anti-Christian bias—just a government that defends our values and puts safety first. Thank you, President Trump, for restoring faith and freedom in America!”
At 22:35 UTC on the same day, Fry highlighted constituent services and financial returns to his district: “Since taking office, my team and I have been focused on one simple mission: helping the people of SC’s 7th District get the answers and support they deserve. I’m proud to say that we have returned over $15 million to the people of South Carolina’s Seventh!”
Fry has served as U.S. Representative for South Carolina’s 7th district since replacing Tom Rice in 2023. Before his current role in Congress, he represented his area in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Surfside Beach in 1985 and currently residing in Murrells Inlet, Fry holds a BA from the University of South Carolina (2007) and a JD from Charleston School of Law (2011).
