Congressman Russell Fry, who represents South Carolina’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed constituents and national issues through a series of posts on his official social media account.
On September 22, Fry announced an upcoming event for local residents: “Mark your calendars! My office is hosting Mobile Office Hours in Dillon County next Monday, September 29. Stop by the Latta Town Hall from 10:00-1:00 for help with Social Security, Medicare, the IRS, Veterans Affairs—or just to ask a question. We’re here to serve you!”
The following day, Fry criticized Democratic lawmakers regarding federal budget negotiations. On September 23 he wrote: “Democrats are holding America hostage—threatening to shut down our government unless we hand over TRILLIONS for their radical, anti-American agenda. I refuse to bow to the Schumer Shakedown. I stand with President Trump. Enough is enough.”
Later that same day, Fry commented on recent developments involving technology companies and free speech under the Biden administration: “Big Tech finally admits it: Americans were censored under Biden. This is a HUGE WIN for free speech!”
Fry has served as the representative for South Carolina’s 7th District since replacing Tom Rice in 2023 and previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Surfside Beach in 1985 and currently residing in Murrells Inlet, Fry holds degrees from the University of South Carolina and Charleston School of Law.
