Congressman Russell Fry, who represents South Carolina’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates this week on community events and national observances through his social media account.
On September 16, 2025, Fry posted about participating in a local event: “Honored to join @SenatorTimScott’s 15th annual South Carolina Prayer Breakfast this morning with so many fellow South Carolinians! Today was a great reminder of the power of prayer and the strength in the Palmetto State.”
The following day, September 17, Fry highlighted an upcoming opportunity for high school students interested in military service. He wrote: “Reminder: 2025 Service Academy Day is this Saturday, September 20th at Francis Marion University in Florence! High school students will have the chance to meet academy representatives, learn about ROTC programs, explore what it takes to serve our country. Register here: https://t.co/gvRk0qK3ta”
Also on September 17, Fry marked Constitution Day with a statement on its significance. He posted: “Happy Constitution Day! 238 years ago, our Founders signed the Constitution—the foundation of our great Republic and the safeguard of our God-given freedoms. I will always fight to uphold its principles and ensure our rights are protected for generations to come.”
Russell Fry has served as U.S. Representative since replacing Tom Rice in 2023 and previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Surfside Beach in 1985, he currently resides in Murrells Inlet. Fry holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and earned his law degree from Charleston School of Law.
