Congressman Russell Fry, who represents South Carolina’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on his official Twitter account highlighting law enforcement actions, legislative achievements, and community milestones.
On August 4, 2025, Fry acknowledged recent efforts by federal authorities in public safety. He wrote: “A violent illegal immigrant who planned the brutal murder of a teenager has just been arrested. Thank you to the brave men and women of ICE for removing these dangerous criminals from our streets.”
The following day, on August 5, 2025, Fry commented on economic developments attributed to recent legislation. He stated: “Last week, @SecretaryLCD and I hit the road across SC-07 to see how @POTUS’ One Big Beautiful Bill is transforming South Carolina’s economy—boosting paychecks, cutting taxes, and creating new opportunities. This bill is delivering real results for the American people”
Later that same day, Fry shared his participation in a local veterans’ event: “I recently had the privilege to join the Navy Club of Georgetown, SC’s annual shrimp dinner as they celebrated an incredible milestone—100 years of service, tradition, and community. Russell Fry began representing South Carolina’s 7th congressional district after replacing Tom Rice in 2023. Before joining Congress, he served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Surfside Beach in 1985 and currently residing in Murrells Inlet at age 38, Fry holds degrees from both the University of South Carolina (BA) and Charleston School of Law (JD).
