Congressman Russell Fry, who represents South Carolina’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on August 1, 2025, highlighting local industry achievements, national economic policy, and an act of heroism.

In his first tweet at 13:46 UTC, Fry praised a local manufacturer: “Stingray Boats in Darlington County, South Carolina is an impressive example of craftsmanship and job creation. @SecretaryLCD shared what @USDOL and @POTUS are doing to strengthen workforce development and expand opportunities for skilled trades in industries like maritime”.

Later that day at 18:15 UTC, Fry commented on national policy developments with a positive outlook: “This is a HUGE win for America! @POTUS is driving economic growth, unleashing American energy, and strengthening national security.”

At 23:39 UTC the same day, Fry announced legislative action to honor an individual’s sacrifice: “Today, I introduced a resolution honoring the heroic actions of Mr. Anderson “Chase” Childers—a former Georgia police officer who gave his life saving a family from a deadly rip current off the coast of Pawleys Island. His final act was one of bravery, sacrifice, and service. We”.

Russell Fry has served as the representative for South Carolina’s 7th district since replacing Tom Rice in 2023. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022. Born in Surfside Beach in 1985 and currently residing in Murrells Inlet at age 38, Fry holds degrees from both the University of South Carolina (BA) and Charleston School of Law (JD).
