Congressman Russell Fry, representing South Carolina’s 7th district since 2023, recently shared a series of tweets reflecting on significant events and policies. Fry, who succeeded Tom Rice in Congress and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022, often uses social media to communicate his views and support for various causes.
On June 14, 2025, Fry extended birthday wishes to former President Donald Trump. He expressed gratitude for Trump’s leadership with the message: “Happy Birthday to President @realDonaldTrump! Thank you for always putting America First and never backing down. Here’s to many more!”
The following day, June 15, Fry commemorated the United States Army’s 250th anniversary. He praised the institution as fundamental to American freedom and expressed appreciation for its service members: “250 years ago, the U.S. Army took its first stand for freedom. Today, it remains the backbone of America. Happy 250th Birthday to the United States Army and thank you to the brave men and women who wear the uniform. God bless our troops! “
On June 16, Fry addressed immigration policy by highlighting a legislative initiative aimed at enhancing national security through deportation resources: “Criminal illegal immigrants don’t belong in our country. Reminder: The One Big Beautiful Bill gives ICE and DHS the resources they need to deport them and keep Americans safe.”
Fry was born in Surfside Beach, South Carolina in 1985 and currently resides in Murrells Inlet. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in 2007 and earned a JD from Charleston School of Law in 2011.
