Graduates earn 255 degrees from Coker College

About 23.1 percent of the 255 degrees and certificates handed out by Coker College in 2017-18 were to students in parks, recreation, leisure, and fitness studies programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Hartsville conferred 34 bachelor's degrees and 25 master's degrees in parks, recreation, leisure, and fitness studies programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business/commerce. Data shows the school gave out 29 bachelor's degrees in general business/commerce, followed by 29 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management and 25 master's degrees in sport and fitness administration/management.

The college enrolled 1,280 students for 2017-18, including 1,130 in undergraduate programs and 150 in graduate programs.
