City of Florence issued the following announcement on July 19.
The Florence Youth Softball 11/12 age group will head to Warner Robbins, GA on Thursday for the Little League Southeast Regional Softball Tournament. Play will begin on Saturday, July 24th with all games being broadcast on ESPN+ and the championship game on either ESPN or ESPN2. Florence will begin the quest to go to the Little League World Series at 5 pm against Georgia.
The road to the regional began on June 28 when Florence beat Darlington to win the District 5 tournament and then won the state tournament on July 11th in Irmo, SC.
The team is Coached by Adam Slice, Brian Higgs and Traci Jeffords and the players are: Christine Bescher, Ava Black, Paityn Daniels, Hannah Duke, Annie Eliason, Allie Higgs, Jordan Jeffords, Anniston Kirshy, Carolina Lynch, Tolsyn Lynch, Zoey Miller, Ava Palmer, Pinckney Riddle and Annabelle Slice.
