Coker University issued the following announcement on October 26.
HARTSVILLE, SC (October 26, 2021) -- The South Carolina Dance Association recently named Coker University alumna Allie (Flagg) Stack its Dance Teacher of the Year.
Stack, who graduated from Coker in the spring of 2017, was recognized for her outstanding work developing and growing the dance programs in Spartanburg, SC. She was also Coker University's very first graduate in the Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education with a K-12 Teacher Certification program.
In addition to expanding access to dance education for students in South Carolina, Stack inspired 200 dance students to visit the State Capitol Building as part of Arts Advocacy Day to speak out in support of the performing arts in the state.
