Coker University issued the following announcement on November 23.
HARTSVILLE, SC (November 23, 2022) - Coker University Professor Josh Webb will be leading a panel discussion at the Southeastern Theatre Conference Convention 2022 entitled "No More War Stories" that will explore how experienced professionals and educators can help guide and support students and early career theatre professionals in finding safe and meaningful employment.
This panel will include educators and professionals in the field of theatre representing a variety of experiences. They will explore ways in which our industry needs to change, particularly regarding current exploitative practices towards early career professionals in technical theatre.
The SETC Convention is an annual gathering of over 5,000 theatre professionals, educators, and students. While SETC officially covers a 10 state region, it is truly a national organization and hosts the largest convention of its kind."
