Coker University issued the following announcement on January 26.
HARTSVILLE, SC (January 26, 2022) — Coker University today announced the appointment of Jessica Cloud as Vice President of Advancement.
As Vice President, Cloud will be responsible for resource development through the solicitation and management of gifts, including, but not limited to, the annual fund, alumni and constituent relations and engagement, corporate and foundation relations, major and estate gift planning, grant development, gift processing and stewardship, and event and campus venue coordination.
“As Coker University continues to build for the future, it is essential that we have an experienced hand guiding our advancement activities,” says Coker University President Natalie J. Harder. “Jessica Cloud is just the sort of leader for Coker, bringing rich experience in higher education and in fundraising. She will be able to hit the ground running, working closely with our donors and alumni,” Dr. Harder added.
For the past six years, Cloud has served as vice president for advancement for the Starr King School for the Ministry, working as chief development officer for the multi-religious seminary. She previously served as assistant director for fundraising initiatives and planned giving at the University of Southern Mississippi Foundation and as manager of annual giving and development officer at the University of Southern Mississippi. Cloud began her fundraising career with RuffaloCODY.
“I’m honored to join Coker University at this important time,” Cloud said. “With the bold initiatives put forward by President Harder over the last two years, I’m excited to be working with Coker alumni, employees, and students on the important work ahead.”
Cloud received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi.
