Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce: Hartsville Country Club - Golf Handicaps 2022

25

Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on February 8.

Members,

As the 2022 golf season approaches, we would like to remind everyone about the golf handicap system at HCC (part of the international GHIN system). If you are not an active member of our system, we would like to encourage you to call or visit the Pro Shop to get set up. The cost is $35 for the year.

All members who have been active participants in the GHIN system will be automatically charged this year's fee in the month of February. If you would like to have your GHIN account inactivated, please let us know as soon as possible. If you would like to remain an active participant, no action is required.

The purpose of the USGA Handicap System is to make golf more enjoyable by enabling players of differing abilities to compete on an equitable basis. As a result, we will require all participants in HCC-sanctioned handicapped events to have an active, up-to-date handicap. These events include Member-Guest, Member-Member, and Net Flights of the Club Championship.

The GHIN system also includes free access to a mobile app where players can input their scores manually right from their smart phones. If you would like any help setting up this feature, find George in the Pro Shop.

We're looking forward to warmer weather and a great golf season in 2022, and we hope to see everyone out at the Club soon.

Best,

Pro Shop Staff
