McLeod Health welcomes Colton Johnson, MD, and Yvette Mbangowah, MD, to the medical staff.
Dr. Johnson joins Kimberly Hunsucker, FNP-C, with McLeod Primary Care Myrtle Beach. Board Certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Johnson received his medical degree from the Saba University School of Medicine, Saba, Netherlands/Antilles in 2019. He comes to McLeod following the completion of his Family Medicine Residency at Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dr. Johnson now lives on the coast with his wife Brittney along with his two dogs and pet hedgehog. He enjoys cooking and playing sports, especially golf. Dr. Johnson is accepting new patients. Dr. Mbangowah joins Dr. Joslyn Angus, Dr. Prakash Beeraka, Dr. Dierdre Young, and Nurse Practitioner Allison Slice as part of Jeter-Skinner Family Practice. She received her medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine, Coolidge, Antigua, in 2018, and is a 2022 graduate of the McLeod Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. A native of Cameroon, Dr. Mbangowah was inspired to become a physician by her godfather, a physician trained in South Carolina who returned home to care for their community. She and her husband, Houlton Losah, live in Florence and are parents of two daughters, Pessy and Maya Rose, and a son, Troy Mbunu.
