Lauren Freeman, RN, Workers’ Compensation Case Manager for McLeod Health, accepts the Transitional Duty Award from Wendy Stephenson, Vice President with Antum Risk.
McLeod Health was one of four organizations recognized as winners of a Palmetto Hospital Trust (PHT) Gold Claims Reporting Honor Roll Award and one of seven recipients of a Transitional Duty Award at the 5th Annual PHT Worker Safety Symposium conducted by Antum Risk.
Healthcare professionals from around the state attended the event on October 21 in Columbia. Antum Risk administers PHT, the workers’ compensation group self-insurance pool in which McLeod Health, South Carolina hospitals and health systems, and other healthcare organizations participate.
Gold Awards are presented annually to PHT members who report 95-99% of their workers’ compensation claims within three days. Transitional Duty Awards are presented annually to PHT members who have a transitional duty versus lost work day ratio of 3.50 or greater or “0” lost work days.
