Here's a face you'll often see if you frequent Myrtle Beach's shoreline... Anthony Kraemer is Myrtle Beach's new Beach Coordinator! Originally from Hamilton, New Jersey, the Air Force veteran moved with his family to Myrtle Beach about three years ago. He began his career with the City as a beach crew senior equipment operator. After three years, he was promoted to Beach Coordinator when the position opened.
His main duties as Beach Coordinator include ensuring the beach is safe and enjoyable for everyone, while also keeping the City up-to-date on projects and beach updates. Anthony says he "loves working for the City and enjoys that his office is the beach!"
Anthony was an electrician and environmentalist for six years at the McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. He says he worked as an arborist and equipment operator for the Mercer County Park Commission in New Jersey after his Air Force contract ended.
He now calls Myrtle Beach home with his wife and three young children. Anthony says they love spending time together at the beach, the pool and on the volleyball courts. Congratulations on your promotion, Anthony, and enjoy your first summer as Myrtle Beach's Beach Coordinator!
