Jim Clyburn, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 6th district, has recently voiced his concerns on various national issues through a series of tweets. Serving since 1993, Clyburn continues to be an active political figure at the age of 82.

On March 10, 2025, Clyburn addressed the issue of Social Security, emphasizing its importance for working Americans. He stated, "Working Americans should retire with dignity. You pay taxes on Social Security so you can retire with guaranteed benefits. That's what Social Security does. The richest man in the world wants to get rid of it — which 69 million Americans rely on."

The following day, March 11, 2025, Clyburn criticized former President Trump for promoting a donor's company while economic challenges persist in the country. He remarked, "While Americans are struggling with high costs and are worried about a recession, Trump does a promo for his biggest donor's company on the White House lawn. Nothing to see here."

Later that same day, Clyburn expressed his disapproval of a government funding bill proposed by Republicans. He noted that it undermines essential programs while benefiting figures like Musk and Trump. His tweet read: "Republicans' government funding bill cuts programs Americans depend on while making it easier for Musk and Trump to recklessly dictate how our government is run. I voted no."
