On Sunday, March 23, former West Florence High School standout George Derrick Floyd’s current college team, the Citadel Bulldogs, lost 9-7 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Mercer Bears.

The game took place at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. This was their third matchup against the Bears this season.

The Bulldogs’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 6 p.m. at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park against Charleston Cougars.
