On November 1, 2022, McLeod Pediatric Intensivist Dr. Carl Chelen participated in the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control’s (DHEC) statewide virtual media briefing on Flu, RSV and COVID-19.
During the 30-minute media briefing, medical professionals from DHEC, South Carolina Hospital Association, McLeod Health, Lexington Medical Center, MUSC and Prisma Health teamed up to provide an update on current risks of these respiratory illnesses and to encourage South Carolinians to take precautionary measures to reduce their risk of getting severely ill.
